A photographer has posted a beautiful photo on Facebook of an island that resembles a dolphin. Rhy Jones said he has been to Pwllheli Harbor several times but has never seen its unique shape before. The photo was posted on a Facebook forum called Pwllheli Drone Photos. The Welsh coastline is full of incredible wildlife – both on land and under the sea. Facebook users were amazed at the island’s resemblance to the mammal, saying the photo can’t be “unseen” now.
“I’ve been over the marina several times, but it’s the first time I’ve noticed this. It was an amazing discovery. Once you’ve seen it, you can’t undo it,” said Jones. the BBC.
The outlet went on to say that the drone shot was taken at the beginning of the month.
The nose of the mammal is made by a small stone breakwater protruding into the sea and an eye of a small patch of bushes.
The sand on the harbor is divided in such a way that it resembles the ‘dolphin head’. The sand bend slopes down to a park-like structure.
The surrounding blue water and the gray stone give the whole picture a special color.
Facebook users were blown away by the unique photo. They posted different emojis to express their surprise.
Cardigan Bay has the largest resident dolphin population in Britain, according to Visit Wales. According to the BBCa group of about 300 bottlenose dolphins in the region.
Porpoises, one of the smallest cetacean species – the category of mammals that includes whales and dolphins – can be seen around most of the Welsh coast.
