Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Awanish Sharan, who often shares motivational posts on Twitter for his 491,000 followers, recently tweeted a video of actor Amitabh Bachchan sharing “life lessons” learned from his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
“Life Lesson,” Sharan wrote in the post, which garnered more than 113,000 views and more than 4,500 likes in just a few hours. In the video, Mr. Bachchan quoted two lessons he had learned from his father.

“Mann ka ho to achcha, na ho to zyada achha (If things happen according to your wish, that’s good. But if they don’t, that’s even better),” said Amitabh Bachchan in the clip. However, he added that he would never be able to understand this lesson and always asked his father for an explanation. His father then explained that if things are not as desired, they are done according to the will of some divine power and for our good.
The second lesson Mr. Bachchan learned from his father was that life is a struggle and struggle will continue as long as there is life.

“I think if we accept this factor that your life is never going to be easy, something will happen, so instead of being kind of despondent about that, be aware that tomorrow is another challenge, another day that might turn out to be profitable – which it might not – but eventually there will be another day when you can try it all over again,” said Mr Bachchan in the clip.
The video motivated several internet users. While one user wrote, “so true, every word,” another said, “Very relevant and motivating. Most of all, life is a mystery.”
A third commented, “true words.” A fourth simply added, “amazing”.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Amitabh Bachchan has shared a valuable lesson. Last month, Mr. Sharan also shared a video where the actor shared a motivational story about Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). He said that a man’s greatness is determined by his deep thinking and understanding, not by his position, power or age.
