Most of us are afraid of spiders. As children, adults told us to stay away from the insect because it could bite us and we could experience severe pain and discomfort. Many people’s first reaction is to chase the insect away when we see it. However, a gruesome old footage that has gone viral on social media shows a spider crawling out of a man’s ear.
The undated video of the same was shared by the Twitter page Oddly Terrifying. The video begins with a man lying down. Another person is seen injecting some liquid, resembling saline, into the person’s ear. Within a few seconds, the spider comes out of the ear and crawls onto his T-shirt. However, DailyExpertNews was unable to verify the authenticity of this video.
“Look what’s coming out of this man’s ear,” the video’s caption reads.

The short clip was shared two days ago and has already been viewed more than six million times and has 44,000 likes.
“I thought they would remove nasty looking earwax! I thought wrong!” said one user.
“If my ear itches at night, this is why I think it’s going on,” a second person commented.

A third person said “Can you imagine how often this actually happens to people lol.”
“No! Throw away the whole ear!” said another user.
“This is a forewarning: you’re about to see your own nightmare before you get it,” added another user.
“The first time I saw this I screamed and threw the phone,” said another person.
In a similar case in 2019, a man in China complained of an itchy, crawling sensation in his ear. When the doctor inspected the patient’s ear, he could not find anything unusual. However, on closer inspection, the doctor discovered a tiny spider, which was weaving a web in the man’s dining canal and had partially covered it, according to a report in the Independent.
Finally, the doctor used a saline solution to wash the spider away. The doctor also added that any further delay in treatment could have caused damage to the man’s ear canal.
