Mumbai:
The Mumbai Customs on Wednesday seized over 8 kg of gold, worth around Rs 4 crores, and five iPhones in eight different cases.
According to the Airport Commissioner, Mumbai Customs Zone-3, gold was hidden in the frame of the check-in bag, the box of crockery, the worn clothes and the handbag.
Earlier, on February 18 and 24, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 7.64 kg of gold worth 4.09 Cr. in 7 different cases.
Gold was smuggled with the help of a mobile company's retail staff; hidden in stove, bicycle, airplane seat, corner piping of bag, check-in bag.
