As part of its carefully planned strategy to secure over 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has convened a two-day national convention at Bharat Mandapam from February 17 to 18, with more than 11,000 delegates, including national and state-ranked office holders.
A meeting of the BJP's national office bearers has been scheduled for February 17, which is likely to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This meeting starts on February 17 at 9:30 am. Later, at 3 pm, BJP national president JP Nadda will deliver his presidential address and the rally will begin.
Around 11,000 BJP representatives will attend this meeting.
The convention will conclude with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's closing or farewell speech on February 18.
The general secretaries, cell conveners, presidents of all Morchas, municipal corporations, municipalities, nagar panchayats and district panchayats will be invited for the convention.
The National Executive, National Council office bearers, district presidents across the country, district in-charges, Lok Sabha executives, cluster in-charges, Lok Sabha convenors, Lok Sabha extensionists, Disciplinary Commission, Finance Commission, chief spokespersons of states, Media Cell chairpersons and I.T. cell officials at various levels from across the country, including chairmen, have also been invited for the two-day brainstorming session.
According to information received from sources, two resolutions will be adopted during the national convention meeting.
Of these proposals, one could be a political proposal and the other could be based on economic, social and Ram Mandir related issues.
These proposals include the ordination of Ram Lalla in the great Ram temple of Ayodhya, the women's sanctuary, the knowledge formula i.e. steps taken by the government for the welfare of the poor, the youth, farmers (peasants) and women (women) , and all of ISRO's successes, including the Chandrayaan mission.
Many significant achievements can be mentioned, including the effective steps taken by the Modi government during the global corona crisis, and the achievements made in the defense sector, including the COVID-19 vaccine and indigenous Tejas aircraft.
Meanwhile, ahead of the two-day national convention, BJP National President JP Nadda inaugurated the BJP National Convention exhibition at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
