Her latest South Indian food recipe of ‘chow chow curry’ has been causing a stir in the cooking pot recently! Chow Chow Curry is a South Indian delicacy used in everyday cooking for “sambhar”.
Padma Lakshmi posted the video with the caption: “It feels so good to be home with my kid again. For dinner we made a very simple stir-fried curry. To prepare chow chow according to her recipe, also known as chayote, look for chayote, tomatoes, onions, and ginger in your kitchen.
- When you’ve arranged all the vegetables on the shelf, cut them into medium-sized pieces.
- Then heat a pan and roast cumin seeds and mustard seeds until golden brown. Add curry leaves, onion, tomatoes and sauce to the hot pan as soon as you notice the lovely golden hue.
- Don’t forget to add salt to taste. Also don’t miss turmeric powder and Kashmiri red chili powder for the classic taste.
