The annual solar eclipse or Surya Grahan will occur on October 14, 2023. It takes place when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, but when it is at or near the farthest point from the Earth.
Saturday’s solar eclipse, also known as the “ring of fire” solar eclipse, will be an annual solar eclipse. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said the annual solar eclipse is called the “ring of fire” because the moon appears smaller than the sun further away from Earth and does not completely cover the sun.
Instead, the moon covers the center of the sun, leaving the outer edges visible as a ring.
