The campaign for the second phase of the elections ends today, April 24. As many as 89 constituencies across 13 states will go to the polls on April 26 in the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In the first phase of the elections on April 19, voter turnout was about 64 percent. The ongoing Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases. The final phase is scheduled for June 1 and the counting of votes will take place on June 4.

The 89 Lok Sabha seats in 13 states that will be held for election in the second phase include Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Western Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir.
Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram and Meerut
One of the key contests is that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is contesting from Wayanad constituency in Kerala in the second phase. Rahul Gandhi is pitted against CPI's Annie Raja and BJP's K Surendran. In another important fight, sitting MP and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor is contesting against External Affairs Minister and BJP candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar from Thiruvananthapuram seat in Kerala.

Actor and politician Hema Malini is looking forward to a third term from Mathura as a BJP candidate. In Meerut, the BJP has nominated Ramayan actor Arun Govil as its candidate. Both seats will vote in the second phase.
PM Modi in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh
On the last day of campaigning on April 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Chhattisgarh's Surguja and two rallies in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar and Betul today.
The Prime Minister will also hold a roadshow in Bhopal. Surguja, Bhopal and Sagar will go to polls in the third phase, while Betul will vote in the second phase on April 26.
Elsewhere, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will campaign for her brother in Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi and Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Amravati, Maharashtra on Wednesday. Rahul Gandhi will address public rallies in Amravati and Solapur, while Amit Shah will address a rally in Amravati after a public event in Alappuzha, Kerala.
BJP president JP Nadda will campaign in Bihar's Bhagalpur, Khagaria and Madhubani today. Bhagalpur and Madhubani will also go to polls on April 26, while Khagaria will go to polls in the third phase on May 7.
