Tesla has reached a settlement with the family of an Apple engineer who died when his Model
A jury trial was set to begin next week in a wrongful death case accusing Tesla of not living up to its marketing when it came to driver assistance and safety technology in its cars.
Court documents filed Monday state that Tesla and Wei Lun Huang's family have reached a settlement, and that Tesla is asking that the amount involved remain confidential.

Huang's family argued in documents that Tesla was negligent and careless in building and marketing the 2017 Model X.

Tesla stands behind the safety of its cars and Autopilot features, which it has warned do not deprive drivers of paying attention.
