Amazon Publishing has announced a worldwide deal for the next six books by bestselling author Chetan Bhagat, whose previous books were published by Rupa Publications.
The deal includes three fiction and three non-fiction titles. Amazon Publishing will publish these books worldwide in print, eBook and audio formats, with the first title in October 2018. The title or other details about the first book have yet to be announced.
According to Amazon, all the books are planned to be available in multiple Indian translation versions as well. Westland, an Amazon company, will distribute the print editions in India.

“Millions of readers have enjoyed Chetan’s work for more than a decade. His books deftly interweave the everyday lives of young people with the prevailing social milieu of our time,” he added.
Bhagat expressed his joy at the deal for his upcoming books.
“Amazon’s online advantage and its commitment to reaching all corners of India aligns well with my goals of inspiring all Indian-read books. Further, Amazon’s global reach, especially with Kindle eBooks, will give me readers around the world. books have been made available on Kindle, I’m getting emails from readers in places like Africa and Europe, which is something that hasn’t happened before.My new fiction novel is slated for release over the holiday season in October 2018. While I’ll reveal details later, I’m very excited about It will be my first book in both eBook and print format at Amazon Publishing and it will be slightly different from anything I’ve done before,” he said.
Amazon acquired Westland Publications Pvt Ltd, a leading trading book publisher, in January 2017. Westland is the official distributor of Amazon Publishing titles in India and partners with the top book distributors in India, bookstore chains, independent booksellers and online marketplaces.
Bhagat arrived with a bang in the Indian literary space and has published nine blockbuster books to date. These include seven novels — Five Point Someone (2004), One Night @ the call center (2005), The 3 mistakes of my life (2008), 2 States (2009), Revolution 2020 (2011), half girlfriend (2014) and An Indian girl (2016) and two non-fiction titles — What Young India Wants (2012) and making India great(2015).
