A social media user’s post about ordering a traditional Indian outfit for his German colleague through quick-commerce platform Blinkit has gone viral online. Via The German employee did not realize that he was in the office for the annual Diwali puja, so the company’s Indian employees ordered a kurta for their German colleague from Blinkit.
“My colleague from Germany visited the India office today and was surprised to see everyone wearing traditionals (we had our Diwali Puja in the office today). Everyone wanted him to wear Kurta Pajama and to my surprise @letsblinkit delivered in less than 10 minutes!!! Amazing!” Mr Talukdar tweeted. He also shared a picture of his German colleague dressed in the kurta-pajama he ordered from Manyavar through Blinkit.
Mr. Talukdar’s post not only caught the attention of social media users but also Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa. Commenting on the now viral post, Mr Dhindsa said: “Glad we could help”. He also wrote that Blinkit had started listing Manyavar outfits on its app just a few days ago. “There is now no reason not to wear a kurta to office Diwali parties,” the Blinkit CEO quipped.

Meanwhile, commenting on Mr Talukdar’s post, a user wrote, “That’s incredible!”
“Blinkit is such a savior! My mom was recently in the hospital after surgery and we wanted tender coconut water on short notice… 12-15 minutes… and it was there!” another user shared. “This is a game-changing moment…delivered so quickly,” said a third user. “How cool! Blinkit is going to spoil us all,” another added.

Meanwhile, Blinkit also delivers gold and silver coins on the occasion of Dhanteras. Earlier in the day, Mr Dhindsa said that even before the start of the ‘shubh muhurat’ for Dhanteras, the company had already sold half as many gold and silver coins as last year. “Luckily we took a big gamble and have enough to meet the high demand,” he tweeted.
