Maharashtra’s cabinet on Wednesday nodded for a Rs 837 crore cyber security project to tackle cyber crime in the state.
The project aims to bring all modern technologies under one umbrella, which will also include control and command center, technology-assisted research, expertise center, Computer Emergency Response Team, cloud-based data center, security operations center. the government said in a statement.
Under this project, people can register their complaints at a 24×7 call center, according to the decision of the state cabinet.
Cybercrime will be investigated with modern technologies and skilled manpower, enabling them to thoroughly investigate the case and also guarantee a conviction, the statement said.
In another decision of the cabinet, sugar cooperative factories with financial problems will receive loans from state cooperative banks with the guarantee of the state government.
